01: Why should I buy a watch from Precision Time?

For the majority of people the main factor is the cheaper price. We believe we can offer some of the best prices you can find in the UK. 

For the majority of watches the savings can be a least 10 to 20% off the manufacturers RRP price, some watches can be up to around 40% off the RRP which can equate to several hundred pounds saving for the some watches.

We can offer a far more comprehensive range of models than a shop normally carries and we can offer some models that are not available in the shops. If you cannot see what you are looking for on our site then please contact us and we maybe able to source the model you are after.

Finally, it is the convenience of shopping online, you can browse through our comprehensive website and look at the products in detail without the inconvenience of walking shop to shop trying to find what you want. For the UK shops they will only stock a limited range of watches and the prices will be set to the manufacturers RRP.

02: How come you are cheaper compared to the high street shops?

The reason why our prices are able to be discounted is because authorised dealers are not allowed to sell their watches below the manufacturer's recommended retail price (RRP) or sell the watches on the internet. Our low prices are as a result from selling to you direct along with the lower overheads compared to your traditional high street jeweller.

03: Are the watches you sell genuine and brand new?

All watches sold by Precision Time Ltd are guaranteed to be 100% genuine and unworn sourced from EU dealers. They will also come in the original packaging and manuals. The serial numbers will also be intact preserving the value of your watch. Counterfeit or stolen watches will almost certainly have no serial numbers. If any watch you receive is not authentic or unworn then we will guarantee a full 100% refund to you even after the 14 day return or exchange period has expired. We do have a small selection of pre-owned watches for sale and these are clearly marked with a condition report

04: Are you an authorised dealer?

No, because authorised dealers are not allowed to sell their watches below the manufacturer's recommended retail price (RRP)

05: What is the difference between buying a watch from an authorised dealer and a non-authorised dealer?

The watch and packaging you receive from us is exactly the same as buying from a high street jewellers.

For the watches they will only have one type of packaging throughout the world so you can be assured that you will receive the same watch as if you had bought it from your local high street jewellers (They will include all serial numbers, original inner and outer packaging, manuals, etc).

Additionally the watches are only made in the manufacturers’ country of origin. Unlike motor cars where you can buy a Japanese marque made in a British factory, the manufacturers will only produce their watches from workshops in their country or origin to ensure the highest quality. By definition a “Swiss Made” watch must be assembled in Switzerland with the majority of parts being made there also.  

06: What kind of warranty and paperwork will I get with the watch that I buy from Precision Time?

You will receive all the original manuals and certificates with your watch so the package you receive will be the same as you had bought it from your local jewellers (unless otherwise specified in the product description).

The warranty card you will receive when purchasing your watch from us is provided by Precision Time unless otherwise stated.

If your watch develops a manufacturing fault during the warranty period we will provide a free repair at an authorised service centre . The duration of the warranty is stated in the product description (usually 2 years).

In the unlikely event that you encounter a problem with the watch during this period and it is covered by the warranty then please contact us beforehand and we will be happy to assist you to get your watch repaired.

07: What kind of customer support will I get if I buy from Precision Time?

We are always happy to answer any questions with regards to using your watch. We wish for you to enjoy many years use from your purchase. You may find answers to common questions you may have in this FAQ Information or if you do need to speak to someone you can call us, use our online chat or send us an email and we will reply as soon as possible

08: How safe am I buying a watch from Precision Time?

We appreciate that you may have concerns about purchasing such goods of such a high value item from an internet based company and we offer the following information in order to ease your concerns:

  • We are a UK registered company with a VAT number. Established in 2004, as we are based in the UK you are fully protected by The Sales of Goods Act 1979 (as amended) if the product you buy turns up not as described.

  • All our card payments are processed through Natwest Streamline and SagePay in the UK. In order for a company as large as the Natwest to provide this kind of service you have to be thoroughly vetted beforehand in order to maintain their integrity. As such if there were any fraudulent activity on our behalf then this facility would be quickly withdrawn from us.

  • We always contactable on our telephone 0800 862 0330 should you wish to speak to someone first or require after-sales support.

  • Finally if you still have any concerns about the authenticity or have concerns about receiving the goods from our company then we can advise you to pay by Visa credit card or Mastercard. For purchase amounts between £100 and £30,000 you may be further protected by the Section 75 Consumer Credit Act.

09: What if I don’t like something I bought from you and I wish to return or exchange it?

We offer a 21 day from delivery exchange or full refund policy. Please refer to our full returns policy here During the Christmas period we offer an extended returns policy so you can buy your watch early to avoid disappointment.

10: Can I have the watch sent to another delivery address?

Yes, you can do, if you wish for the delivery to be made to your work address then this will not normally be an issue.

However If you require a delivery to another residential address other than the cardholders then we will need some additional security measures before we can do this. 

All delivery address amendments are decided on a case by case basis.
